The day after tomorrow on 17 November is my birthday. On this date I will be 31 years old and besides my wish to be healthy, I decided that I should give myself a present.
Maybe it is a more special gift but I believe that I will be able to enjoy it all my life and in my old age I will remember these decisions fondly.
I have made it my goal every year from now on to repeat this and in addition to the gifts I receive from friends and family to give myself a gift alone.
So as not to prolong the wait the gift I chose to give myself are 2 Apple shares (378$). Unfortunately I got a pretty high price tag of $189 but I think it’s a good share that has potential.
Looking beyond analysts expectations it is expected to reach $197 in the next year.
If nothing happens globally I plan to hold this stock for life.
It may not be a very large investment but as I said above every year I want to make an investment outside of the portfolio, and in a year’s time look back and remember the decisions I made at this age.
Initially I had proposed to buy 3.1 stocks from Apple but unfortunately the price has gone up a lot in the last month and I think it is a bit overpriced.
I advise all of you who want every birthday to remember it years from now to buy a different stock.
